My experience with Kitchen Ideas was exceptional from the start. I started my kitchen project with a next door neighbor giving the name of the contractor they worked with on their kitchen remodel. We interviewed him and quickly learned we did not have a “plan”…. Once we encountered Kitchen Ideas, we got more than just a plan – we got experience, ideas, passion and artistry. They knew exactly what to do and had confidence in their delivery. They measured our space, provided a 3-D rendering so we would know exactly what to expect. They walked through the project with us, step-by-step, literally holding our hands along the way. Of course the project became bigger in scope than we originally planned, but it was due to their professionalism and experience. Had we stopped short where we originally planned, it certainly would not have turned out the way it did. The result was pure magic.

We have since used them on a bathroom project as well. Many of the same contractors came back to help us with this second project. Their contractors are very professional and trustworthy. They do what they say they will do and take great care of your property in the process.

I will use Kitchen Ideas again!

Kitchen Ideas has remodeled my last two homes. My first project was a fairly small kitchen that they transformed into a functional kitchen, that was perfect for cooking and entertaining. After purchasing a midtown fixer upper, I again used Kitchen Ideas on a much larger remodel project of a kitchen and three full baths. All the same subcontractors, which I loved working with previously were still with them years later. In my experience, working with Kitchen Ideas has exceeded my expectations. From design, to craftsmanship, to managing the overall project, their team is excellent!

KI exceeded our expectations in shepherding us through our kitchen remodeling project and the inevitable project creep into other rooms and a balcony. Lesley was lots of fun to work with. She “got” what we had imagined for our renovation, created a really efficient design that was perfect for the way we like to cook and live (like having two sinks–one in the prep area and the other as a cleanup sink, next to the dishwasher). She gave us great advice in choosing just the right cabinets, appliances, hardware, lighting, countertops, backsplash, paint, etc. Her experience steered us away from ideas that we now realize would have been huge mistakes. KI’s general contractor kept everything on schedule, and the tradespeople they used were top notch professionals. Two years later, we are still thrilled to show off our kitchen.

We used Kitchen Ideas for two major projects. The first was a complete remodel of our kitchen and updates to the adjacent laundry room and powder bath in September of 2014. The designer listened to our concerns with our current set up and we made a list of our must haves and our nice to haves for our new kitchen. Designer accompanied us to the various showrooms and excellent advice was provided. From demo day to completion, all was done in seven weeks. Kitchen is functional and we enjoy it every day. The second project was a total remodel of our master bath and closet in May of 2016. We wanted a better way to start our day and now we have it with a large walk-in shower, more bathroom cabinets and a larger more organized closet.

In 2016, Kitchen Ideas (Lesley Shollmier) designed and remodeled our kitchen and bathroom. Lesley and the entire KI team (including the fabulous Marc Wells, project manager) did an amazing job. They are all (including the sub-contractors) professional, creative, and easy to contact (crucial when you are in the middle of a renovation). I would (and do) highly recommend using Lesley at Kitchen Ideas. We are extremely pleased with the finished projects and very happy that we chose KI.

Michael Thorpe at Kitchen Ideas was very professional in assisting me with the creation of a beautiful / functional kitchen. Michael is a cook himself, so he is able to see the needs of a person preparing a meal. He worked in perfect concert with my architect / builder on every detail. Not only did he create a wonderful kitchen, but helped design and install every built-in cabinet in the whole house. With 6 bathrooms, a bar and a large mud room, it was a huge job. With no exceptions, every piece fit like a perfectly designed puzzle. Yes, I would love to recommend Michael Thorpe and Kitchen Ideas.

We hired Kitchen Ideas to design and remodel a kitchen in our 1930s midtown bungalow. From start to finish, Lesley and the KI crew were awesome. Crews hired were respectful and timely, and the painter and trim carpenter did especially impressive work on a custom piece. I had fun shopping for tile, counter tops and even cabinet hardware. The Galley Workstation® is worth the investment. Work was completed around the projected date, and the cost stayed very close to the projected budget. The finished product speaks for itself. We had an outstanding experience with KI. The finished product was even better than I imagined it could be. Our designer, Lesley, had to use her skills to design an open kitchen plan in what started as a small galley style kitchen. Walls were moved and removed and the plan was perfect for the space limitations and when it was all over, we had a large kitchen and an improved floorplan for our home. Lesley was attentive to details such as the soft close drawers and cabinet doors which made a huge difference. The cabinets and countertops were perfect for our older home. The kitchen was bigger and brighter and all of the subcontractors were very professional and enjoyable and engaging. I highly recommend Lesley and Kitchen Ideas for a kitchen renovation.
