Bold Beginnings
In the 1970s, Roger Shollmier and his lifelong friend, Rodney Turchi, moved their young families from Arkansas to Tulsa in search of opportunity. Pooling limited funds but big dreams, they rented a small shopping center space and founded Kitchen Ideas.

Building on the Dream
As the business grew, Roger’s vision and leadership drove its success. After acquiring Rodney’s share, he transformed Kitchen Ideas into a premier design firm, earning national acclaim and thousands of satisfied clients for his ability to blend function with beauty.

Handing Over the Reins
In 2018, after 42 successful years, Roger passed leadership of Kitchen Ideas to Michael and his wife Kelly, longtime collaborators. This allowed him to devote himself to his new passion, The Galley Workstation.
